Daily Tour: Discover Tirana

Join us for a vibrant and enriching tour of Albania's lively capital – Tirana. This day trip offers a perfect blend of history, culture, and modern life, taking you through the most iconic and authentic parts of the city.

 

We begin our tour on the main boulevard, the heart of Tirana, and head first to Bunk'Art 2, a unique underground museum housed in a Cold War-era bunker, which sheds light on Albania's communist past. From there, we continue to the impressive Orthodox Cathedral, a symbol of religious revival, and move toward the Pyramid of Tirana, an iconic and controversial structure from the communist era.

 

Our walk leads us to Mother Teresa Square, one of the city's largest and most important public spaces. On the return, we explore the Blloku neighborhood, once a restricted area reserved for the communist elite, now a trendy district full of stylish cafés, restaurants, and boutiques.

 

Next, we visit the modern Castle of Tirana, a beautifully renovated historical site that now hosts artisan shops and cozy cafés. Just a short walk away is the lively Pazari i Ri (New Bazaar), where you can experience local life, see fresh produce, and admire handmade goods.

 

We also make a stop at the nearby thrift bazaar, a beloved local spot for vintage items, curiosities, and second-hand treasures.

 

To end the day, we'll explore some of the old neighborhoods of Tirana, where a few original Ottoman-era houses remain. The tour concludes with an optional stop at a traditional restaurant, where you can enjoy authentic Albanian dishes — or, if you prefer, a taste of locally made raki, the traditional spirit of Albania.
